Frequently Asked Questions:
What makes us different from other primary care practices?
Our geriatricians and registered nurses are specifically trained to evaluate and manage the unique health care needs and treatment preferences of older people and – we come to you! Appointments are scheduled in advance to allow families time to plan ahead if they would like to be present at these visits. We are dedicated to spending quality time with patients and schedule approximately 60 minutes for new patient appointments and 30 minutes for follow-ups.
Do you have an office location?
Yes, we have a main office located on the main St. Ann’s campus at 1550 Portland Avenue. We have a front desk receptionist who can quickly triage any patient or family questions to our nurses and doctors. Our office is open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. If you need assistance at times outside of these hours, our medical team is on call 24/7 to address any questions/concerns you may have.
What if I need to have labs or imaging done?
We partner with mobile x-ray and laboratory services that bring phlebotomy and diagnostic testing directly to you. If you prefer to have your lab work/imaging done elsewhere, we work with all providers.
How often will you be at my assisted or independent living facility?
Our doctors and nurses usually travel to each facility 1-2 times/week.
What happens if I get sick and need to be seen? What if you are not at my facility that day?
If you get sick and need to be seen between visits, we will make every effort to see you in your home or triage over the phone. If you are able, coming to the main office is also an option.
